CCCMT is a member of the support system of Ministry of Emergency Management's safety technology of the People’s Republic of China. It is a well-known independent third-party inspection agency in the safety production industry. CCCMT specializes in inspection of explosion-proof electrical equipment, mining communication and monitoring electrical and electronic products.CCCMT has undertaken to participate in many national scientific research projects and provided fair, scientific and authoritative evaluations of the products to many companies. It has made positive contributions to ensuring social safety in production.

CCCMT has 47 employees, including 11 with senior titles, 33 with intermediate titles and 12 with registered safety engineers.The construction area of CCCMT is 6500㎡. Mushu road area is about 6000 ㎡ and Huanghe West Road area is about 500 ㎡.

In 1990,Mine Communication and Monitoring Devices Laboratory of CCTEG Changzhou Research Institute(CCCMT) was set up by the Department of Energy document（1990）No.403.

In June 2007, CCCMT firstly obtained the certification by China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment (CNAS) and has been maintaining it till now.

In September 2013, in order to strengthen the quality management of energy technology and equipment, the National Energy Administration's Document [2013] 416 decided to establish the National Energy Mine Safety Technology and Equipment Evaluation Center (Changzhou).

In April 2020,CCCMT became a designated laboratory for China Compulsory Certification(CCC) of explosion-proof electrical products as well as an accepted ExTL within the IECEx Equipment Scheme 02.
